According to the “Guidelines for Figure Preparation” (Autophagy 2010; 6:1007-8), bands from different parts of the same gel should be presented next to each other in a way that makes it clear that the samples were not contiguous. Accordingly, in both the WT and A53T groups, the first 2 bands (Dox and Dox+) and the third band (Dox+ + CQ) cut from different parts of the same gel in Fig. 1D should be separately presented as follows (corrected Fig. 1D):

Inducible PC12 cells (SNCAWT and SNCAA53T) were treated with 2 μg/ml doxycycline (Dox) for 24 h in the presence of chloroquine (CQ). The bands are cut from different parts of the same gel.
