Sigma-2: mature mRNA, sterile transcript with splicing within VL-JL region, sterile transcript without splicing. Sigma: mature mRNA, sterile transcript with splicing within VL-JL region, sterile transcript with 3’ splice site at the C exon. Lambda: mature mRNA. The figures drawn with polyA tails have been isolated from cDNA libraries, the others were cloned by RT-PCR. Arrows indicate location of qPCR primers.
