Effect of 24-hr treatments with quinacrine or other drugs on the accumulation of LC3 (A) and p62/SQSTM1 (B) in the total cell extract (immunoblots). In (A) and (B), histograms represent average densitometry values of immunoblots for replicated experiments (replicate number indicated by n). LC3 I values (A) did not vary significantly between groups, but quantities of LC3 II (A) and p62 (B) were heterogeneous (ANOVA: P < 10−4 and 0.001, respectively). Comparison of values with the common control values for each protein: P < 0.05; ∗∗ P < 0.01 (Dunnett’s test).
