The authors regret that the reference Suomalainen et al⁵⁰ was mistakenly given as an example of an erroneous effective dose calculation. The dose calculation in Suomalainen et al⁵⁰ was performed correctly. Specifically, the effective dose calculation was based on the method presented by Ludlow et al,⁴⁹ which takes the partial irradiation of organs into account.
