A. SSeCKS attenuates the ability of Src to induce metastatic progression by directly scaffolding Src away from FAK complexes to lipid rafts (caveolae structures). SSeCKS facilitates Src association with caveolae structures by mediating Tyr14 phosphorylation of caveolin-1. B. SSeCKS effectively suppress the formation of constitutive FAK/Src complexes and FAK activation (Tyr397 and Tyr925 phosphorylation) that promote oncogenic down-stream signaling pathways.
