Male and female LI-IGF-I−/− and control mice (n = 9–16/group) received an atherogenic (modified Paigen) diet from 6 months of age. At the end of the study (at 12 months of age), in vivo measurements using DEXA were performed. The DEXA scans were from the lower level of the head to the inferior level of the first tail vertebra (the maximal scan area of the DEXA). Values are given as means (SEM)
