A new manifestation of thrombocytopenia: myocardial haemorrhage with symptomatic arrhythmia

Abstract

We describe a patient with thrombocytopenia who developed episodes of dyspnoea due to recurrent cardiac arrhythmia. Necropsy revealed that the apparent mechanism was extensive myocardial haemorrhage.
