The April 20, 2016 article by van Leeuwen et al, entitled “Influence of the Acidic Beverage Cola on the Absorption of Erlotinib in Patients With Non–Small-Cell Lung Cancer,” (J Clin Oncol 34:1309-1314, 2016) required additional clarification.
In Figure 2, arithmetic means were used. The figure has been updated to show geometric means instead. Also in Figure 2, the variability is now presented as error bars.
The legend for Figure 2 has been updated accordingly to: Pharmacokinetic profile. Geometric mean dose corrected concentration v time profiles are shown for erlotinib alone administered with water or cola (treatment group A, n = 14) and erlotinib + esomeprazole with water or cola (treatment group B, n = 14).
The online version has been corrected in departure from the print.
