Keynote Speakers
Associate Professor Julia Drose
Ms Drose currently manages the Divisions of Diagnostic Ultrasound, and Prenatal Diagnosis & Genetics, at the University of Colorado Hospital. She is also an Associate Professor of Radiology in the University Of Colorado School of Medicine. She has authored two books, and contributed 31 book chapters. She has published 39 peer review articles, among other publications. She has also lectured extensively on many aspects of medical ultrasound, particularly fetal echocardiography. Ms Drose served as Chairperson of the ARDMS Fetal Echocardiography Exam Development Task Force which developed the Fetal Echocardiography Certification Exam in 2004. She served as Editor of the Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography from 1996–2000 and currently serves on the Board of Governors of the AIUM. Ms Drose is an elected fellow of the AIUM and the SDMS.
Professor Kurt Hecher
Professor Kurt Hecher is the Chairman for Obstetrics and Fetal Medicine at the University of Hamburg, the Editor of the Journal of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology and he has been the President of ISUOG.
He has a special interest in Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome and the use of Doppler in the surveillance of fetuses.
Professor Carlo Martinoli MD
Carlo Martinoli was born on October 24th, 1961 in Genoa, Italy, received medical degree in 1986 and became a specialist in Radiology in 1889 at the University of Genoa. He was a staff radiologist (1989–1999) at the Department of Radiology of the University of Genoa, he became Assistant Professor of Radiology in 1999 and Associate Professor of Radiology at the same University in 2004. Since 1989, his practice has involved ultrasound and imaging of the musculoskeletal system. He has held 365 lectures as an invited speaker at international Courses or Congresses. He is the author of 147 full papers in international medical journals in which manuscript decisions are based on peer review.
Dr Paul S Sidhu BSc (Hons.) MBBS (Hons.) A MRCP (UK) FRCR DTM&H (Lond.)
Paul Sidhu is a Consultant Radiologist at King's College Hospital, London; Senior Lecturer at King's College London and an Honorary Consultant at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery at Queen Square, London. He completed his undergraduate education at St. Mary's Hospital, University of London and completed basic postgraduate medical training at the Hammersmith Hospital, the Brompton Hospital, Guy's Hospital and the Hospital for Tropical Diseases. He spent a year as a Lecturer at the University of Malaya before commencing training in Radiology at the Hammersmith Hospital and King's College Hospital, London. He was appointed a Consultant at King's College Hospital in 1996. His main interests are in ultrasound, although he also performs interventional work for pleasure! In ultrasound he has developed an interest in microbubble contrast ultrasound being involved with the early clinical trials and applications in liver disease, particularly in liver transplantation. In addition, he has a keen interest in male health and has developed a reputation for testicular and penile ultrasound. He has published three textbooks on ultrasound, authored over 150 articles and presented at numerous scientific meetings. He is currently the Deputy Editor of the British Journal of Radiology and the President‐elect of the British Medical Ultrasound Society.
Professor Paul van Bemmelen
Paul van Bemmelen graduated from Leiden Medical School in the Netherlands. During his surgical residency he received a PhD from the University of Amsterdam. He worked for three years with the pioneers of vascular ultrasound at University of Washington (Dr Strandness) and Dr Sumner at Southern Illinois University. Another Fellowship in Vascular Surgery was completed in the Netherlands. After working at the University of New York Stony Brook, he became Professor at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has an interest in haemodynamics of both arterial and venous disease and in the relationship between poor venous function and arterial symptoms.

Dr Cheryl Bass
Cheryl Bass is a Musculoskeletal Radiologist specialising in ultrasound. She can hardly remember a time when she didn't spend most of her days with an ultrasound probe in one hand and often a needle in the other, explaining to patients that no we don't really know why you have developed a frozen shoulder/snapped your Achilles but it is not cancer and be more careful when you next ride your bike on wet tram tracks. MSK Ultrasound is part of the fabric of life and a joy that she hopes to share with you at the conference.
Dr David Connell
Dr Connell is the clinical director of the new musculoskeletal diagnostic and treatment facility in the Olympic Park precinct in Melbourne. Until recently, he was a consultant radiologist at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and conducted his research at University College London. He has authored 81 publications, including book chapters and educational CD‐ROMs. He is the past president of the Australasian Musculoskeletal Imaging Group (2002–2004), sits on the editorial board of five journals, and he is an instructor on the Erasmus MRI European diploma. He also acts as a specialist advisor for NICE. Dr Connell was a radiologist at the Sydney Olympics and sits on the BSSR committee for the London 2012 Games. He has a long history of imaging and treating elite athletes from the Royal Ballet, UK Athletics and professional football, rugby and cricket clubs. His current research is on stem cell therapy for the treatment of tendon disorders. He has been awarded over $1 million in funding for his research projects and has been elected as a fellow to the Sports & Exercise Medicine Faculty (UK). He is married to his beautiful wife Karen and they have 3 troublesome children.
Assoc Prof George Condous
George Condous is Consultant Gynaecologist at Nepean Hospital and Director of OMNI Gynaecological Care, Centre for Women's Ultrasound. He is Associate Professor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Nepean Medical School, University of Sydney and specialist in Gynaecological Ultrasound and Advanced Endosurgery. He is also responsible for the One‐Stop Ultrasound based diagnostic clinics; which review women with abnormal uterine bleeding, chronic pelvic pain (endometriosis), adnexal pathology (ovarian cysts) as well as post‐menopausal bleeding. He performs Advanced Endosurgery procedures for women who need intervention for pelvic masses, adnexal pathology, endometriosis or hysterectomy.
George has a great interest in Early Pregnancy and especially the management of pregnancies of unknown location (PULs). He has edited three books including the “Handbook of Early Pregnancy Care”, published over 90 papers in international journals and is internationally renowned for his work in Early Pregnancy. He is the editor for the Australasian Journal for Ultrasound in Medicine (AJUM) and Associate Editor for Gynecologic Obstetric Investigation.
Peter Coombs
Peter Coombs is the Sonographer In Charge for Southern Health and a Senior Lecturer in Ultrasound at Monash University. For many years he has been an active contributor to local and national ultrasound education in Australia and has co‐authored a number of publications. His current interests include establishing quality / evidence based processes in the ultrasound setting.
Dr Wes Cormick
Wes has been a frequent speaker at ASUM meetings. He was an invited keynote speaker to the ASUM Annual Congress in 2005 and 2010. In 2006 he was an invited keynote speaker to the ASA annual meeting and in 2007 he was an invited keynote speaker to the ASUM multi‐disciplinary workshop. He has had articles on ultrasound of tendons and tendon insertions published in the ASA Journal and ASUM Journal. He has also been a speaker several times at the Australian Musculoskeletal Imaging Group annual meeting and the Philips “Masters of Ultrasound” meeting. In 2010 Wes was included in the Asia‐Pacific Philips Medical Ultrasound Luminary Program.
Professor Michel Court‐Payen
Michel Court‐Payen MD, PhD is chief radiologist of the department of musculoskeletal radiology, Gildhøj Private Hospital, Denmark, and vice‐president of the Danish Ultrasound Society (DUDS). He graduated in Paris (1984) and became specialist in Sweden (1993). He acquired a university diploma in general ultrasonography in Montpellier, France (1990) and a PhD at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark (1999). He has been working with general and interventional ultrasound at the ultrasound department, Herlev University Hospital (Professor Holm), Denmark (1991 to 2002), and then in the radiology departments at the University Hospitals of Hvidovre, Herlev and Rigshospital, Denmark. His field of interest is musculoskeletal US. He is the author of 35 publications and 11 book chapters, has given 112 international scientific presentations and has been the invited guest lecturer at 176 courses. He has organised 33 US courses (including 14 DUDS courses in musculoskeletal US since 1997) and has been a member of the organising committee of 7 US congresses and of international expert panels (ESSR, EFSUMB).
Rex de Ryke
Rex de Ryke is the charge Sonographer at Christchurch Public and Women's Hospital, Christchurch NZ. He is current chair of NZASUM and is on the DMU board of examiners. Rex has a general and vascular DMU. He has a strong interest in diagnostic medical ultrasound in the acute setting and in problem solving in fetal medicine. He is a regular presenter at NZASUM meetings and a strong advocate of ongoing sonographer education.
Dr Richard Dowling
Dr Rick Dowling is a senior interventionalist radiologist at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. He also has a keen interest in uroradiology, especially testicular and prostate ultrasound.
Dr Andrew Edwards
Dr Andrew Edwards is an obstetrician gynaecologist with subspecialty qualifications in ultrasound. At Monash Medical Centre he is the Director of Perinatal Services and a member of the Fetal Diagnostic Unit. He was also the founding Head of the Victorian Fetal Therapy Service. He has an interest in the diagnosis and management of fetal abnormalities and complex pregnancies, including twins. Dr Edwards has a significant involvement in education and research, and is currently the Chair of the Ultrasound Subspecialty Board of Examiners at the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
Martha Finn
Martha Finn BSc, MD, FRCOG, FRANZCOG, DDU is a medical graduate of the National Univeristy of Ireland. Dr Finn pursued postgraduate study in physiology (BSc, Hons) at Cork University and a Fellowship in Clinical Endocrinology at University College Galway Clinical positions in obstetrics and gynaecology included Assistant Master at the Coombe Women's Hospital, Dublin, specialist at Royal Darwin Hospital and Senior Lecturer with Flinders University from 1997 to 2009 Dr Finn was also Director of Clinical Training in Darwin, responsible for early postgraduate medical training. Special interests included high risk obstetrics and indigenous health. She recently joined Monash Ultrasound for Women as sonologist.
Professor Robert Gibson
Rob Gibson MB BS, MD, FRANZCR, DDU is Professor and Deputy Head, Department of Radiology at The University of Melbourne. His clinical and research interests are in ultrasound, and in gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary radiology. His publications include over 100 peer‐reviewed and invited papers, several chapters and two textbooks. He has a keen interest in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. He serves on a several professional and government committees, and international editorial boards. He is an Honorary Fellow of ASUM and is currently a member of the WFUMB committee developing international guidelines for the use of contrast enhanced ultrasound in the liver.
Dr Julie Gregg
Julie has been a sonographer at Melbourne Radiology Clinic since its inception in September 2009. She has a Graduate Diploma in Ultrasonography (RMIT) and Doctorate of Philosophy (Monash University). Julie has presented lectures at the local, national and international level. She has published a number of papers on forefoot imaging, the most recent in 2008. Julie was invited to write a chapter, MR imaging and ultrasound of metatarsalgia, in Clinics of North America.
Tania Griffiths
Tania has been a sonographer for over 20 years. Her career in ultrasound has been varied with roles in trade, management and academia. Currently Tutor Sonographer at the Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne, she was the 2009 recipient of Uncles Bob's Travelling Scholarship spending time in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania observing Doppler ultrasound techniques for paediatric liver transplantation and attending a workshop on the use of Transcranial Doppler to prevent stroke in Sickle Cell disease. Current research interests include Doppler in pediatric liver transplantation and ultrasound of the lip, orbicularis oris.
Kate Guskich
Kate Guskich is a Senior Sonographer at Southern Health in Melbourne. As well as pursuing an interest in several areas of ultrasound, Kate has the unique role of Physician Training and Credentialing within Southern Health. Kate is working collaboratively with the Emergency Department, as well as several other non‐Diagnostic Imaging Departments, to ensure the safe and responsible use of ultrasound imaging across all hospital campuses within Southern Health.
Elvie Haluszkiewicz
Ms Elvie Haluszkiewicz DMU(vasc) AMS
Elvie is a radiographer and an accredited sonographer at Royal Perth Hospital, with a strong interest in ultrasound eduction. She tutors the vascular component of the training program and is the co‐author of the protocol book for this. The Ultrasound Department at Royal Perth Hospital is also involved with research projects across hospital and university departments and Elvie has personal involvement with many of these.
She has published, presented widely and conducted workshops on a variety of vascular topics. Most recently she presented the ultrasound criteria for carotid stenosis assessment at the RANZCR National Conference.
As Elvie's interests and expertise are with vascular applications, she sees first hand, the impact of vascular disease on indigenous patients and their families.
Martin Healey
Associate Professor Martin Healey did his Obstetrics & Gynaecology training at Monash Medical Centre and Bath in the UK. He went on to complete a fellowship in advanced laparoscopy followed by a Doctor of Medicine investigating pain in endometriosis. Martin heads the Gynaecology 2 Unit at the Royal Womens Hospital in Melbourne, which focuses on women with endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain. He also has a busy private gynaecology practice with a focus on laparoscopic management of severe endometriosis.
Professor Jon Hyett
Jon Hyett, MBBS BSc MD MRCOG FRANZCOG is a Senior Staff Specialist in Obstetrics, Maternal and Fetal Medicine and Head of High Risk Obstetrics, RPA Women & Babies, Sydney. He is Clinical Professor at the University of Sydney and Joint Head of the Discipline of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Neonatology in the Faculty of Medicine. Jon trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and sub‐specialized in Maternal and Fetal Medicine in the UK. His primary research interests are prenatal diagnosis in the first trimester of pregnancy, the development of noninvasive prenatal diagnosis, quality assurance in obstetric ultrasound and the management of twin pregnancies. He is involved nationally with the Nuchal Translucency Accreditation Program of RANZCR / RANZCOG and internationally with the obstetric ultrasound accreditation programs run by the Fetal Medicine Foundation, UK.
Manish Jain
Manish Jain is a Radiologist with MIA working at Monash Radiology and Monash Breast Screen. Manish is interested in all aspects of breast imaging and intervention.
Dr Ryo Kawasaki
Dr Kawasaki is a clinician‐researcher trained as Ophthalmologist (retina specialist) in Japan and as an epidemiologist having obtained MPH from the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health, Baltimore, USA. His expertise in the epidemiology of retinal vascular diseases linked to ocular and systemic diseases including cardiovascular diseases.
Dr Kawasaki has been involved in the development of retinal imaging technique for assessing architectural parameters. For his research, Dr Kawasaki is currently a NHMRC Health Practitioner research fellow at the Centre for Eye Research Australia (CERA). He aims to translate his retinal imaging research outcomes into a screening strategy to enable ocular and systemic disease prevention.
Jane Keating
Jane is a senior sonographer at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, where she is involved in training and mentoring sonographers and medical staff. Jane has roles in the ultrasound community include Australian Sonographer Asssociation (ASA) Victorian branch committee member, ASA national conference and Special Interest Group organising committees, and ASUM national congress organising committee for 2011.∗∗∗Jane has presented at various interstate conferences, workshops, and education evenings. She was a guest speaker for the ASA Australian travelling workshop series, and keynote speaker for ASA Special Interest Group conferences. Jane was awarded the ASA Pru Pratten award for ultrasound excellence in 2006, and has co‐authored two book chapters. Jane has a special interest in abdominal vascular ultrasound and in particular the use of contrast enhanced ultrasound in the liver.
Ryan Kiss
Ryan has been working as a sonographer since 2005. He has worked at the Mercy Private Hospital in Melbourne for the past 4 years, which specialises in muskuloskeletal imaging.
Over the past year, Ryan has held the position of supervising sonographer.
Having an extensive sporting background and being a keen triathlete, Ryan has a particular interest in all aspects of musculoskeletal imaging.
He is currently involved in a study which is examining the ultrasound changes and outcomes of various injections into the common extensor tendon of the elbow.
Penny Koh
Penny is a Vascular Sonographer with more than 20 years experience in both clinical practice and research. She is in charge of vascular ultrasound investigations at The Alfred Hospital's Cardiovascular Medicine Services Department and The Avenue Cardiovascular Centre in Melbourne. Penny is also part of the research team within the Clinical Diabetes & Epidemiology unit at Baker IDI Heart & Diabetes Institute. She began her career as a medical scientist, which led to her interest in Neurovascular Ultrasound and has continued to work at various Vascular Units specialising in minimally invasive cardiovascular interventions and deep venous thrombosis treatment.
Dr George Koulouris
George Koulouris is a musculoskeletal radiologist with an interest in imaging of sport injuries, tendon regeneration and pain management. He trained at the Alfred Hospital followed by a musculoskeletal MRI fellowship in Philadelphia, prior to commencing his private practice, Melbourne Radiology Clinic, East Melbourne. George is academically focused and has strong interest in the education of radiology trainees and referring health care providers.
Dr Barry Leaney
Dr Leaney is a fellow of the RANZCR and has been a practicing radiologist since 1988.
He has worked throughout Eastern Melbourne in both the public and private sector, more recently primarily in the Box Hill region where he was the Director of Medical Imaging for Eastern Health from 1998 until 2006. Currently he practices primarily at the Epworth Eastern Hospital Box Hill. Dr Leaney has had broad experience in all fields of Medical Imaging including Nuclear Medicine and Inventional Radiology. In association with Professor Grigg, Dr Leaney introduced aortic endoluminal grafting at Box Hill Hospital and the Epworth Eastern Hospital. They have wide experience in aortic endoluminal stenting and are familiar with the various stent related complications, particularly endoleak.
Dr Wayne Lemish
Dr Wayne Lemish is a radiologist with MIA Victoria with a special interest in breast ultrasound, I mammography and breast MR. He is the Director of Radiology at the Freemasons Medical Centre where more than 5000 breast ultrasounds are performed each year. Wayne has been involved with Breast MR since its introduction into Melbourne over the past decade and is a senior radiologist with BreastSceen Victoria.
Jane LeMessurier
Jane LeMessurier LLB, is a lawyer who has worked in private legal practice and in the professional indemnity insurance arena. She has extensive risk management prevention and presentation experience with her business partners at LeMessurier Harrington Consulting.
LeMessurier Harrington Consulting was launched in 2001 and focuses on the development and presentation of risk management education programs and reports for the legal and medical profession in Australia and overseas.
LeMessurier Harrington Consulting have been engaged by the Medical Insurance Group Australia (MIGA) to present the material developed by the Risk Management Department in consultation with the Claims Department.
In presenting the Workshop “the referral investigations and tests”, Jane draws upon her extensive experience in both the legal and risk management areas.
Dr Barry McGrath
Barry Patrick McGrath, Adjunct Professor of Medicine, Monash University & Head of Vascular Medicine, Southern Health Victoria.
Barry McGrath is a physician who was a fulltime clinical academic at Monash University for 33 years. His research leadership is reflected in publications (author or co‐author of 6 books, 11 book chapters, 210 papers in referred journals); student supervision (10 completed PhDs) and post‐doctoral supervision (10), grants obtained, invited international and national presentations, journal editorial boards, service on Grants Committees. Awards include those from the National Heart Foundation and High Blood Pressure Research Council of Australia. A leader in medical education in Australia, he was awarded the 2007 Geoffrey Marel medal.
Glenda McLean
Glenda McLean is the Tutor Sonographer at Southern Health in Melbourne. She holds a General DMU and a Masters of Applied Science (Medical Ultrasound). She is a DMU examiner and a member of the DMU (Asia) board and a member of staff for the faculty of Monash University's Post Graduate Diploma program teaching Paediatric Ultrasound. Glenda is particularly interested in obstetric and paediatric ultrasound and is endeavouring to both participate and encourage other sonographers to be involved in research.
Dr Andrew McLennan
Dr Andrew McLennan, BSc MBBS(Hons) UNSW FRANZCOG FRCOG COGU is a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist whose particular interest is in prenatal diagnosis and ultrasound. He is a consultant to the Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit at Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney, Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney and a Partner at Sydney Ultrasound for Women. He introduced Nuchal Translucency (NT) screening for Down syndrome to Australia and is the current Chairman of the National Nuchal Translucency Education and Monitoring Program. Andrew has been extensively involved in first trimester screening education across Australia and Asia and is actively involved in research into early diagnosis of fetal abnormalities.
Dr Pramit Phal
Pramit Phal MBBS, FRANZCR is a consultant radiologist at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and honorary senior fellow at the University of Melbourne. Dr Phal graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1996 and completed his radiology specialization at the Austin Hospital in 2003. In addition to his basic radiology training, Dr Phal has completed 3 additional years of fellowship training, including neuroradiology and musculoskeletal radiology fellowships at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, USA. At the Royal Melbourne Hospital he is director of MRI and the director of fellowship training. His subspecialty interests are in neuroradiology and head and neck cancer imaging and has published widely in these areas. His current research is supported by grants from the NHMRC and RANZCR.
Peter Russell
Peter Russell is the Chief Sonographer at Cabrini Hospital in Melbourne. He has been involved in ultrasound since the early 1980s, having cut his teeth on early static scanners in the years before the existence of formal post graduate ultrasound courses. Over the years he has witnessed the continual evolution of not only ultrasound technology but also sonography as a profession and career. Peter has a particular interest in vascular sonography and continuing professional development and has presented several papers at major national and international meetings on both these topics.
Dr Alan Saunder
Alan Saunder is the Program Medical Director for the Surgery Program across Southern Health, one of Victoria's largest health organisations and is part of the Transplantation/Vascular Surgery team. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and member of the International Transplantation Society, ANZ Society of Vascular Surgeons and current Chairman of the Board of General Surgery of RACS.
Schooled in Warragul, Alan continued on to the University of Melbourne. He commenced his internship at St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne with his surgical training years taking him to Prince Henry's Hospital, Western General and also Newcastle‐Upon‐Tyne where he expanded his knowledge and training. Post fellowship experience has been gained in Madison, Wisconsin and Oxford.
Apart from his surgical role within Southern Health, Alan also lends his surgical expertise to Ausaid. Alan is also a Senior Lecturer at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton.
Dr Anthony Schelleman
Dr Tony Schelleman is a Staff Radiologist at Austin Health in Melbourne with interest in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology in patients with chronic liver disease.
Dr Fergus Scott
Fergus Scott is a graduate of Monash University and specialized in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G). Subspecialisation was in both Maternal Fetal Medicine and then in O&G Ultrasound. Fergus became a partner in Sydney Ultrasound for Women in 1996 and is a staff specialist at the Royal Hospital for Women. He is currently the president of the Australasian Society of Ultrasound in Medicine. Areas of interest include invasive testing in pregnancy, 3/4D imaging and first trimester screening.
Mark Smyth
Initially a medical imaging technologist, Mark qualified with the DMU in 1991. He worked for many years with the Victorian Imaging Group, which later became part of the I‐Med network in the southern region of Melbourne. In 2005, he took up the position of ultrasound coordinator with the then newly formed MDI group, where he has been able to pursue his interest in several areas of ultrasound. Mark has presented at numerous meetings both locally and nationally and has published articles in several journals. From 2007 to 2009 he was on the ASUM Board of Examiners for the DMU.
Faye Temple
Faye Temple is the Sonographer in Charge at Melbourne's St Vincent's Hospital which operates two departments to cater for demand for both public and private ultrasound. Passionate about quality, Faye has been actively involved as the Chairperson for the ASA Victoria Branch, which has delivered high quality CPD to sonographers, for many years. Currently Faye is President of the ASA, and is also their representative on the ASAR Council.
Daniel White
Dan originally trained in Canada and received his ARDMS in 1991. He arrived in Australia in 2000 to take up a position in the private health sector. In 2008 he moved to Southern Health. He has many interests across Obstetrics, MSK and Paediatrics with a strong passion for the Fetal Heart. Dan is also an avid cyclist and guitarist.
Marilyn Zelesco
Marilyn is a sonographer at Royal Perth Hospital, Perth, Western Australia
Acoustic structure quantification (ASQ) is ultrasound software that analyses the statistical information of the acquired (receiving) echo signals. By looking at the speckle pattern in a certain region of interest (ROI), tissue differentiation becomes possible. ASQ is based on raw data grey scale imaging. The raw data is collected before the scan converter and before the lateral filter is applied.
Hence minimal manufacturer image interpolation is present.
ASQ was developed as a potential tool in the quantification of diffuse liver disease. It was hoped it would also assist in the monitoring of regression or progression of liver fibrosis and fibrosis treatment.
ASQ is a tool that has been developed to be less subjective and operator dependent than conventional ultrasound liver imaging, as it is the unit that performs the analysis on the acquired data.
Parallel clinical studies have been underway to validate ASQ in terms of its role in the clinical setting. This talk discusses these, and potential uses for this emerging technology in a variety of clinical areas.
