MICROBIOLOGY. For the article “Inhibition of Epstein–Barr virus-induced growth proliferation by a nuclear antigen EBNA2-TAT peptide,” by Christopher J. Farrell, Jae Myun Lee, Eui-Cheol Shin, Marek Cebrat, Philip A. Cole, and S. Diane Hayward, which appeared in issue 13, March 30, 2004, of Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA (101, 4625–4630; first published March 19, 2004; 10.1073/pnas.0306482101), the authors note that two latent membrane protein 1 (LMP1) primers, two β-actin primers, and an LMP1 oligonucleotide probe are mislabeled in Materials and Methods. The correct primers were used in the experiments; therefore, the mislabeling does not affect the conclusions. The correct sequences are as follows. PCR primers: LMP1, 5′-ATGGAACGCGACCTTGAGAG-3′ and 5′-CCAAGGTA-CAATGCCTGTCC-3′; and β-actin, 5′-CGTGGGGCGC-CCCAGGCACCA-3′ and 5′-TTGGCCTTGGGGTTCAG-GGGGG-3′. Oligonucleotide probe: LMP1, 5′-CCCCTCTC-CTCTTCCATAGG-3′.
