In vivo fluorescence images of U87MG tumour treated with intratumoral injection of 50 µL of AuNR@SiO2-Glu(Cy5.5)-c(RGDyK) (100 µg mL−1) under irradiation of 808 nm laser (0.25 W cm−2) for 0 min (a), 3 min (b) and 6 min (c), and their corresponding changes in mean emission intensity (d). The NIR emission of Cy5.5 was collected at 650–750 nm upon irradiation at 633 nm.
