The cotton bollworm species name reported in this manuscript Helicoverpa armigera is incorrect. The correct name of the species used in this study is Helicoverpa zea. The H. zea eggs used in our studies were purchased at Benzon Research, as stated in this paper. All of the research findings and conclusions are accurate for H. zea.
