In the manuscript by L. Hu et al., “Converse Regulatory Functions of Estrogen Receptor-α and -β Subtypes Expressed in Hypothalamic Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone Neurons” (Molecular Endocrinology 22:2250–2259, 2008), the following corrections should be noted:
1) On page 2251 in the first column, the sentence “The amplified products were of the expected size, and the nucleotide sequences matched the published sequences for mouse GnRH, ERα, and Erβ” should read as follows: “The amplified products were of the expected size, and the nucleotide sequences matched the published sequences for rat GnRH, ERα, and ERβ.”
2) On page 2257 in the second column, the sentence “PCR for GnRH (GenBank accession no. M31670), ERα (GenBank accession no. NM 023992), and ERβ (GenBank accession no. AY196983) was performed in 20-μl reaction capillaries with their respective secondary nested primer sequences utilizing a FastStart DNA Master SYBR Green 1 Kit according to the manufacturer’s instructions and the LightCycler (Roche Applied Sciences, Indianapolis, IN)” should read as follows: “PCR for GnRH (GenBank accession no. M31670), ERα (GenBank accession no. NM 012689), and ERβ (GenBank accession no. NM 012754) was performed in 20-μl reaction capillaries with their respective secondary nested primer sequences utilizing a FastStart DNA Master SYBR Green 1 Kit according to the manufacturer’s instructions and the LightCycler (Roche Applied Sciences, Indianapolis, IN).” The authors regret the errors.
