Former general practitioner East Sussex (b Surbiton 1929; q Liverpool 1952), d 5 January 2005.
For 30 years Norman Brodie was an integral part of a practice covering Saltdean, Rottingdean, Woodingdean, and Ovingdean, East Sussex. As senior partner he created two purpose built, modern surgeries. His early career was in the Royal Navy. He retained his naval links throughout his life with a commission in the Royal Naval Reserve and was also involved with the Royal British Legion. After retiring in 1994 he moved first to Kent and then to Wiltshire. He leaves a wife, Jeanne; two daughters; and four grandchildren.
