Overview of the miRNAs involved in the regulation of autophagy-related signaling pathways. The interplay of autophagy with multiple upstream signaling pathways occurs through MTOR, which is a master regulator of autophagy that is involved in several regulatory pathways including PI3K-AKT-MTOR, Ca²⁺-AMPK-MTOR, TP53-MTOR and others. Except for the classic nutrient-sensing MTOR pathways, autophagy is implicated in various other signaling events, such as the mitochondrial pathway and transcription factor pathways.
