Former consultant anaesthetist Manchester Royal Infirmary and Christie Hospital (b Neath 1920; q St Bartholomew's Hospital, London, 1943; FFA RCS), d 15 November 2004.
Ken developed his interest in anaesthetics during national service and joined the staff at Manchester Royal Infirmary for his training posts. His initial consultant post was in Cardiff, but within a few years he was invited back to Manchester, where he enjoyed a varied career. He was especially proud of his links with the Christie. He was a keen supporter of Manchester United and enjoyed his garden and golf during retirement. Predeceased by his wife and a son, he leaves his twin son and daughter and five grandchildren.
