Extensive expression of MUC1 in PC-derived bone metastases from hormone-naïve patients. Bone tissues with hormone-naïve PC were obtained from patients #3 and #4 and were IHC stained for PAP and MUC1 using an antibody to a MUC1 N-terminal region. Matched images of a low magnification for PAP and MUC1 staining are shown (top panels). Regions marked with the same number in the PAP and MUC1 image of individual patients are matched. Please note that the #2 region in the PAP image of patient 4 was dislocated during IHC staining. Matched images of PAP and MUC1 staining for patient #3 in a higher magnification are also included (bottom panel).
