Continuous flow reactor. The peptide is mixed with APS and Ru(II)bpy32+ at 4°C and shielded from light. The reaction mixture is pumped through a variable flow rate pump into an exposure chamber in which a section of clear tubing is placed approximately 10 cm away from a light source. The fluid flows out of the exposure chamber to a collection vessel containing reaction quencher (e.g., 2-mercaptoethanol).
