Disentangling Random Motion and Flow in a Complex Medium

The calibration factor used for converting pixels to micrometers in the authors’ microscopy data was incorrectly noted. As a consequence, all quantities in the manuscript with units of micrometers need to be multiplied by a factor of 0.4988. The final value reported for the diffusion coefficient of acidified organelles in HL60 cells should be 0.0044 μm2/s. In Figs. 4 and 5, all length units should be adjusted to reflect the correct calibration factor. Because the calibration factor was used consistently throughout the data, none of the fundamental conclusions of the paper are altered by this correction. Furthermore, the bulk of the paper that develops the BNEW method using simulated data and calculations in dimensionless units remains completely unaffected. Figs. 4 and 5, as well as the Supporting Material and main text, have been corrected online.
