In the September 1, 2017 Discoveries issue of Antioxidants & Redox Signaling (vol. 27, no. 7, pp. 379–397, DOI: 10.1089/ars.2016.6642), in the article entitled “Lysyl Oxidase Induces Vascular Oxidative Stress and Contributes to Arterial Stiffness and Abnormal Elastin Structure in Hypertension: Role of p38MAPK” by Sonia Martıánez-Revelles et al., an error was discovered in Figure 3.

FIG. 3.

FIG. 3.

LOX is a source of vascular oxidative stress. (C) Vascular superoxide anion production.

The error concerns a representative image showing DHE staining in the vascular wall from TgLOX mice in Figure 3C (panel labeled as “Tg”) which is incorrect. This mistake does not affect any numerical data or any conclusion obtained from them, it only affects at this specific representative image.

The online version of the article has been corrected to reflect this change and the corrected version of Figure 3C is provided below.

The authors wish to apologize for the error.
