In the article entitled, “Caspase 3 Silencing Inhibits Biomechanical Overload–Induced Intervertebral Disk Degeneration” (Volume 184, pages 753–764 of the March issue of The American Journal of Pathology), errors were inadvertently introduced into the figure labeling. The unit μm in the scale bars was incorrectly changed to μmol/L within Figures 2, below panel A; Figure 6, above panels A and B; and Figure 7, above panels A–H. We sincerely regret the error.
In the article entitled, “Chemoprevention of Rat Mammary Carcinogenesis by Spirulina” (Volume 184, pages 296–303 of the January 2014 issue), Attalla F. El-Kott’s affiliation was listed incorrectly. The correct affiliations are as follows:

In the article entitled, “N,N-Dimethylacetamide Regulates the Proinflammatory Response Associated with Endotoxin and Prevents Preterm Birth Sruthi Sundaram” (Volume 183, pages 422–430 of the August 2013 issue), contained errors in reported N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMA) doses. Although the description in the Materials and Methods section regarding the volumes and concentrations of DMA administered were correct, the resulting DMA doses used were misstated throughout the paper as doses in mg/kg. The correct units are g/kg. Specifically, the five doses used, and for relevance their human equivalent doses (HED) according to established U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Food and Drug Administration Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) conversion table, are as follows:
-
•
0.19 g/kg (HED 16 mg/kg);
-
•
0.39 g/kg (HED 32 mg/kg);
-
•
0.78 g/kg (HED 63 mg/kg);
-
•
1.55 g/kg (HED 126 mg/kg);
-
•
3.10 g/kg (HED 252 mg/kg).
The authors very much regret the discovery of this error.
In the article entitled, “Keloid Disease Can Be Inhibited by Antagonizing Excessive mTOR Signaling with a Novel Dual TORC1/2 Inhibitor” (Volume 181, pages 1642–1658 of the November 2012 issue), an author was omitted. The University of Manchester convened an Independent Panel of Investigation and concluded that Subir Singh made sufficient contribution to merit coauthorship.
