Scatter plot of the PFC activation while performing the difficult shape-matching condition and BBT. Abscissa represents number of blocks that children completed and the ordinate represents average oxygenated hemoglobin (HbO) concentration. There was a moderate negative correlation (r=0.45, P=0.001), which suggests that children that moved fewer blocks tended to have greater concentration of HbO in the PFC during the difficult shape-matching condition.
