Dear Editor
In one of the articles published in this journal, titled “A Systematic Review of Iran’s Medicinal Plants With Anticancer Effects,”1 the authors reviewed herbal plants from Iran with anticancer effects. In Tables 1 and 2, they referenced to my article.2 They noted that umbelliprenin was purified from “shoots” of Ferula gummosa. It should be correctly noted that umbelliprenin was purified from “roots” of Ferula szowitsiana.
Moreover, I hope they have noted that IC50 (inhibitory concentration 50%) of medicinal plants against cancerous cell lines is better for comparing the potency of medicinal plants.
