The number of SNPs assigned with −1 or +1 for each category. The finally subset of SNPs were assigned to either negative (−1) or positive (+1) effect groups based on the sign of the estimated coefficient of the corresponding term in the linear model. As shown in the table, CE, FE, TE, and EE comprised 37 SNPs (18 negative and 19 positive), 19 SNPs (seven negative and 12 positive), 44 SNPs (14 negative and 30 positive), and 25 SNPs (12 negative and 13 positive), respectively.
