On page 714 the authors incorrectly state the citrate exudation rate. The sentence is printed correctly below:

We have made preliminary measurements of respiration rates of whole pieces of proteoid roots which greatly exceed the peak rate of exudation (4 mmol O2 g−1 DW min−1 for 0.4 mmol citrate g−1 DW min−1), suggesting that the flux through the TCA cycle is unlikely to limit the rate of citrate exudation.
