a, c SGC7901 and BGC823 cells were transiently transfected with pGPU6/GFP/Neo-shRNA-LGR5, pGPU6/GFP/Neo-shRNA-NC, pReceiver-M45-LGR5, and pReceiver-M45-NC respectively. After 24 h transfection, the cells were grown to 80 % confluence at which time cells were removed with a 10 μl tip in the adherent monolayers. The cells were recovered for 48 h. Images were acquired at 0, 24, and 48 h following the recovery with Olympus digital camera, and analyzed by Image J to measure ability of the cells to repair the wound. b, d Cellular migration was quantified and represented graphically with results expressed as mean ± SD of three independent measurements. **P< 0.01
