In the originally published version of this article, the number of cells used in the xenograft model was indicated incorrectly. In the section “Xenograft experiments using nude mice,” 7 × 105 A549 lung cancer cells were utilized, not 7 × 107 as indicated. The authors apologize for the error and any confusion that may have resulted.
