Chitra Dinakar, MD, FACAAI, MSMA member since 2002, was presented with the Woman in Allergy Award from the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology which honors an individual who has advanced the role of women in medicine or made a significant contribution to the specialty. Dr. Dinakar is on the Missouri Medicine Editorial Board.
MSMA commends Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences (KCU) on the construction of its new administration building. Marc Hahn, DO, KCU President, has been an MSMA member since 2012 and spoke during the ribbon cutting.
John B. Holds MD, FACS, St. Louis, MSMA member since 1991, was awarded a Life Achievement Honor Award at the 2015 American Academy of Ophthalmology meeting in Las Vegas in November. This award is the final step of three awards given by the American Academy of Ophthalmology for service to the Academy.

Lisa Roark, MD, of Cassville, offered up a lesson on the skeletal system for first-graders in her community over the Halloween weekend. They assembled and labeled skeletons, learning where bones are located. MSMA is extremely proud to have her as a member since 2010.
