The authors wish to revise their original article in which they used the work of another actor in the field of bioinformatics databases, OMICtools (1), without proper permission albeit without deliberate harm. In the original version of this article, the authors present Bio-TDS as including tools and associated metadata from different repositories, including OMICtools. The authors have now removed the OMICtools tools collection, metadata, and classification system from Bio-TDS and repeated all relevant assessments. All tools extracted from the OMICtools site have been removed from the authors’ database and replaced with tools from alternative sources, specifically Bio-Soft Net (http://en.bio-soft.net/). The replacement of the OMICtools has not affected the performance (ie. precision and recall) of Bio-TDS. The authors wish to extend to OMICtools their sincere apology for this misunderstanding.
