PMCID: PMC6166798  PMID: 30224476

LETTER Correction for “Psychological targeting,” by Byron Sharp, Nick Danenberg, and Steven Bellman, which was first published August 3, 2018; 10.1073/pnas.1810436115 (Proc Natl Acad Sci USA 115:E7890).

The authors note that their conflict of interest statement was omitted during publication. The authors declare the following: B.S., N.D., and S.B. are employed by an institute that receives funding from Facebook, as well as its competitors (e.g., television networks and Google). This balance of interests means that their views are not influenced by any single company or industry group. Sponsors provide funding on the condition that the institute remains completely independent, with written acceptance that sponsors have no influence over data analysis or its interpretation.
