Katherine R. Lichtenberg, DO, MPH, FAAFP, MSMA member since 2012, is our new Public Health Editorial Board member. Dr. Lichtenberg is the Physician Director, Enhanced Personal Healthcare Program with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield in St. Louis.
MSMA is excited about the opportunity ahead for Mike Kozminski, MD, to present at the first annual World Congress of Urology in China. He’s been an MSMA member from St. Joseph since 1990.

Strathmore’s Who’s Who Registry has recognized Frederick Lobati, MD, of Columbia, for his outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of Healthcare and Healthcare Education. He has been an MSMA member for more than 10 years.

MSMA is proud to have James Lukavsky, MD, as a new member since 2014. He recently recognized Hospice Compassus-Tri Lakes and its programs in Branson and Monett with the William H. Frist, M.D. Award for Outstanding Achievement in Quality Patient Care.
Member since 2003 from Overland Park, KS, Michael Mahoney, DO, presented $5,000 to Hermann Area District Hospital Foundation.
Philip Mataverde, DO, MSMA member since 2012, from Camdenton, now offers appointments in Eldon and Laurie to treat patients with sleep disorders.
The Cameron School District held a ceremony to recognize L.W. McDonald, MD, for his service to athletes of the school district. He is a retired MSMA member who joined in 1977.
John Moore, MD, MSMA member since 2002 from Washington, now offers internal medicine services in Dexter.
The Board of Trustees of Audrain Medical Center met and the trustee’s report was given by Peter Perll, MD, who has been an MSMA member since 1996. He also viewed the new linear accelerator being installed in the cancer center.
Yvonne Prince, MD, MSMA member since 1996, has relocated her office in Salem to Physicians Office Building #3.
MSMA wants to congratulate Rick Scacewater, MD, on joining Mercy Clinic Pulmonary in Joplin. His support as an MSMA member since 1985 is very much appreciated.
Troy Scheidt, MD, is helping patients hear better with a comprehensive set of hearing health solutions that go beyond hearing aids, in connection with the Cochlear Provider Network and Woodward Audiology, LLC. He’s been an MSMA member since 2006 and practices in Columbia.
Dexter’s Chamber of Commerce hosted an official ribbon-cutting ceremony for Saint Francis Clinic, which included new MSMA member Joseph Schuerger, MD.
Congratulations to Shahid Waheed, MD, for joining the cancer center team at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital - Audrain. MSMA appreciates having him as a member since 1996.
David K. Bean, DO, has been voted favorite medical doctor by O’Fallon Community News voters, and he has been an MSMA member since 1998.

All three of the osteopathic physicians at Complete Family Medicine in Moberly are MSMA members, including Drs. John C. Collins (new member), Nickolas Gillette (new member), and Justin D. Puckett (member since 2008). MSMA shares in the excitement of adding an urgent care facility to their practice.

Rebecca Hierholzer, MD, was recognized as Professional of the Year by Capital Who’s Who. She is an Missouri Delegate to the AMA, and her support of organized medicine on a state level dates back to 1988.

MSMA is very proud of Megan Litzau, who has been a student member for two years. She was selected as a winner of the 2015 American College of Emergency Physicians National Outstanding Medical Student Award. Megan is a sixth-year medical student at UMKC.

Butler News Xpress recently featured Curtis Long, MD, for having a “long list of babies,” as he is posed here with just some of the 3,700 babies he has delivered in the last few decades. Dr. Long has been an MSMA member since 1977.
