Retraction: Garcinol Potentiates TRAIL-Induced Apoptosis through Modulation of Death Receptors and Antiapoptotic Proteins

PMCID: PMC6181131  NIHMSID: NIHMS991852  PMID: 30181333

This article (1) has been retracted at the request of the editors. Following an institutional review of the figures, it was determined that data for some of the figures could not be supported. Specifically, in Fig. 1B, the same microscopy image was used to represent two different experimental conditions: garcinol and garcinol + TRAIL. In addition, in Fig. 6B, a part of the microscopy image representing garcinol was duplicated within the image itself. The original research records provided during the institutional review did not sufficiently address these concerns.

A copy of this retraction notice was sent to the last known email addresses for all five authors. Four authors (S. Prasad, B. Sung, M.K. Pandey, and B.B. Aggarwal) did not agree to the retraction; the remaining author (J. Ravindran) did not respond.
