Corrigendum to: Smooth muscle cell fate and plasticity in atherosclerosis

The authors of the above paper wish to inform readers that there was an error in the caption of figure 2 as first published. In the sentence: ‘In addition deacetylation of histones by HDAC2 opens chromatin leading to transcriptional repression of SMC differentiation markers.’ the word ‘opens’ should have been ‘closes’. This has now been corrected online.
