This correction refers to errors in the text on page 10, where ‘cm s’ has been used in place of ‘cm s2’, and a standard error value and p-value are incorrectly reported. The corrected text is shown below, and does not alter the conclusions of the article.

3.2.2. T-statistic plots and permutation testing

However, there was no significant difference in mean digit PD between PMv and PMd (mean ± s.e. = −582 ± 38.0 versus −578 ± 30.4 cm s2, t11 = −0.173, p = 0.866, grm = 0.0228), between PMv and vertex (−564 ± 25.6 cm s2, t11 = −0.668, p = 0.518, grm = 0.135) or between PMd and vertex (t11 = −0.617, p = 0.550, grm = 0.137).
