In the 15 July 2018 issue [J Infect Dis 2018; 218:300–311], we published the article “Inhibition of microRNA-23b attenuates immunosuppression during late sepsis through NIK, TRAF1, and XIAP” by Zhang, Li, Shaikh, Caudle, Yao, and Yin. On 27 July 2018, the senior author, Professor Deling Yin, called to our attention problems with Figures 4B, 5A, 5B, and 6C. Since then, other problems with this article have been identified. Dr William R. Duncan, Vice Provost for Research Programs of East Tennessee State University (ETSU) informed us that ETSU is conducting an investigation of this study. We now alert our readers that, until we learn the outcome of the ETSU investigation, concerns have been raised about this article.
