Errors in Introduction, Methods, and Discussion Sections

In the Original Investigaton titled “Factors Associated With 30-Day Readmission After Primary Total Hip Athroplasty: Analysis of 514 455 Procedures in the UK National Health Service,”¹ there were errors in the Introduction, the Methods section, and Discussion section. The final sentence of the third paragraph of the Introduction should read “Our aim was to assess and compare patient-related predictors of 30-day all-cause, surgical, and RTT readmission after elective primary THA, using HES data.” The fourth sentence of the first paragraph of the Methods section should read “All elective procedures carried out at acute NHS hospital Trusts were extracted using the Office of Population Censuses and Surveys procedure codes that identified primary THA.” Finally, the fourth sentence of the second paragraph of the Discussion section should read “Other comorbidities likely to be associated with patient behavior, including psychoses, depression, and dementia, also had stronger associations with RTT than all-cause or surgical readmission, suggesting that patient behavior may be a key factor associated with the risk of RTT specifically.” This article was corrected online.
