Correction to “Altered Hepatobiliary Disposition of Tolvaptan and Selected Tolvaptan Metabolites in a Rodent Model of Polycystic Kidney Disease”

PMCID: PMC6385521  PMID: 30772839

In the above article [Beaudoin J, Bezençon J, Cao Y, Mizuno K, Roth SE, Brock WJ, and Brouwer KLR (2019) Drug Metab Dispos 47(2):155-163; DOI: https://doi.org/10.1124/dmd.118.083907], the following errors were introduced during copyediting:

1) On page 156, in the last sentence, “nM” was incorrectly changed to “μM” twice, and “nmol/g” was incorrectly changed to “μM/g” once. The sentence should read: “The lower limits of quantitation were 5 nM, 50 nM, and 0.6 nmol/g tissue for the outflow perfusate, bile, and liver samples, respectively.”

2) On page 159, in the second sentence of the Fig. 2 legend, “nmol” was incorrectly changed to “nmol/l” once. The sentence should read: “Amounts (nmol) of TVP, DM-4103, and DM-4107 recovered at 60 min in isolated perfused livers from WT and PCK rats.”

3) On page 159, in portions of the second paragraph of the “Results” section, “nM” was incorrectly changed to “μM” in six instances. Starting at the fourth sentence, the paragraph should read: “However, at the end of the washout phase, the outflow perfusate concentration of TVP was 2.33-fold higher in PCK compared with the WT rat livers (PCK = 522.4±127.6 nM vs. WT = 224.6±162.3 nM, P= 0.0089). Starting at the sixth sentence, the paragraph should read: “A similar trend was seen for DM-4107, but the concentrations at 30 min (3.94-fold increase in PCK) and at the end of the washout (3.69-fold increase in PCK) were significantly different (PCK = 62.57±25.05 nM vs. WT = 15.89±8.67 nM, P = 0.0020, and PCK = 93.04±30.01 nM vs. WT = 25.23±19.38 nM, P = 0.0014, respectively; Fig. 3C).”

4) On page 159, in the second sentence of the Fig. 3 legend, “nM” was incorrectly changed to “μM” once. The sentence should read: “Concentration (nM) vs. time (min) profiles of (A) TVP, (B) DM-4103, and (C) DM-4107 in the outflow perfusate of isolated perfused livers (IPLs) from WT and PCK rats.”

5) On page 160, in the second sentence of the Fig. 4 legend, “nmol” was incorrectly changed to “nmol/L” once. The sentence should read: “Cumulative amount (nmol) vs. time (min) profiles of (A) TVP, (B) DM-4103, and (C) DM-4107 in the bile of isolated perfused livers (IPLs) from WT and PCK rats.”

6) On page 161, in the second sentence of the Fig. 6 legend, “nmol/hr” was incorrectly changed to “nmol/Ls per hr” twice. The sentence should read: “Appearance rate in outflow perfusate (nmol/hr) and biliary excretion rate (nmol/hr) vs. time (min) profiles of [(A and C), respectively] TVP and [(B and D), respectively] DM-4103 + DM-4107 in IPLs from WT and PCK rats.”

7) On page 161, in the second sentence of the Fig. 7 legend, “nM” was incorrectly changed to “μM” twice. The sentence should read: “Total hepatocellular concentration (nM) vs. time (hr) profiles of (A) TVP and (B) DM-4103 + DM-4107 simulated in the hepatocellular space of isolated perfused livers from WT and PCK rats using the model depicted in Fig. 1.”
