The Journal publishes corrections when they are of significance to patient care, scientific data or record-keeping, or authorship, whether that error was made by an author, editor, or staff. Errata also appear in the online version and are attached to files downloaded from jbjs.org.
In the article entitled “Patient Expectations of Sexual Activity After Total Hip Arthroplasty. A Prospective Multicenter Cohort Study” (JBJS OA. 2018 Oct 4:e0031), by Harmsen et al., there was an error on pages 6 and 7. Specifically, in Table IV, the column headers were incorrectly formatted. In the row corresponding with the “SA-Expecting Group,” the expectation categories should have read “Unfulfilled‡” and “Fulfilled/Exceeded‡”. In the row corresponding with the “No-SA-Expecting Group,” the expectation categories should have read “Fulfilled‡” and “Exceeded‡”.
