In the article “Age at Exposure to Arsenic in Water and Mortality 30–40 Years After Exposure Cessation” by Roh et al. (1), the following errors appeared in the original print publication.
Throughout the article, “Region II” appeared as “region II.” It should have been capitalized because it is the administrative title.
In the Methods section, Statistical analysis subsection and Table 3, footnote b, “National Institute of Statistics” was incorrectly written as “National Statistics Institute.”
In the Methods section, Mortality data subsection, the date given for the unpublished data was 2015, not 2012.
In the Methods section, Statistical analysis subsection, the date given for the unpublished data was 2015, not 2013.
In Table 3, the entry for current smokers included “(yes/no)”; the variable actually shows percentages of current smokers.
In the Discussion section, the second sentence in the penultimate paragraph originally read, “The fetus and young children may have undeveloped immune systems and may undergo metabolic, excretory, and other pharmacokinetic processes that decrease their ability to counteract early toxic effects (27).” This has been changed to “In fetuses and young children, the immune system, metabolism, excretion, and other pharmacokinetic processes are undeveloped, leading to a decrease in their ability to counteract early toxic effects (27).”
In reference 1, the year of publication was incorrectly listed as 2022 rather than 2002.
The online version of the article has been updated to include the necessary changes.
The Journal and the authors regret these errors.
