In the article “The Effectiveness of Leech Therapy in Chronic Low Back Pain” by Christoph-Daniel Hohmann and co-authors in the Deutsches Ärzteblatt of 23 November 2018 (issue 47), the conflict of interest statements were lacking the following information:
Professor Michalsen in the vice chairman of the German Association for the Promotion of Medicinal Leech Therapies and the. Protection of Leeches and chairman of the board of the Karl and Veronica Carstens Foundation. Both positions are honorary appointments. MWR
