After publication of this Perspective, a colleague pointed out two citation errors that we have now corrected. First, we have removed the spurious, irrelevant citation of a paper by Ffrench-Constant et al., both from the text and the References list. Second, after a passage describing polarized junction shrinking in Drosophila convergent extension, we have replaced an incorrect citation to Zallen and Wieschaus, 2004 with the correct citation of the paper by Blankenship et al., 2006 (both papers remain in the References list, as Zallen and Wieschaus is correctly cited elsewhere in the paper). These errors have now been corrected in the article online. We regret these oversights and any confusion they might have caused.
