In the February 2019 issue of Journal of Medicinal Food (volume 22, number 2, pp. 140–151), the article entitled BST-104, a Water Extract of Lonicera japonica, Has a Gastroprotective Effect via Antioxidant and Anti-Inflammatory Activities by Bang et al. requires correction.

On page 141 in the Materials and Methods section, an incorrect temperature of the bath water was given:

“Briefly, L. japonica extract was prepared by immersing the dried buds of L. japonica in a churning water bath at 50°C and subsequently filtering and concentrating the extract using a rotary evaporator at 50°C.”

The sentence should have appeared as:

Briefly, L. japonica extract was prepared by immersing the dried buds of L. japonica in a churning water bath at 90°C and subsequently filtering and concentrating the extract using a rotary evaporator at 50°C.

The online version of the article has been corrected to reflect this change.

The authors apologize for this error.
