Following an institutional investigation conducted by The Ohio State University in response to concerns related to possible image manipulation, Carcinogenesis is retracting this Corrigendum; the paper with which it is linked has been retracted: (Po-Chen Chu, Samuel K. Kulp, Ching-Shih Chen. Insulin-like growth factor-I receptor is suppressed through transcriptional repression and mRNA destabilization by a novel energy restriction-mimetic agent. (2013) Carcinogenesis, 34, 2694–2705. https://doi.org/10.1093/carcin/bgt251)
Following the institution’s review, The Ohio State University determined that the images for Figure 1A and 8A in the original paper were intentionally falsified by Dr Ching-Shih Chen. Given the presence of falsified data in those figures, the university has requested that the publications be retracted.
Dr Chen formally consented to this retraction during the institutional investigation and the Journal has more recently received agreement for the retraction from Drs Kulp and Chu. The Journal understands that all authors were contacted during the institutional investigation.
