Reason for withdrawal from publication
This review derives from the original review 'Interventions for replacing missing teeth: surgical techniques for placing dental implants'. At the time only one eligible randomised controlled trial (RCT) (Barber 1996) was identified but was excluded. The same RCT is now included.
Cochrane Oral Health withdrew this review as of Issue 5, 2018. Authors are unable to update the review. The review is substantially out‐of‐date and does not meet current Cochrane methodological and reporting standards, but is correct at the date of publication. The review has been withdrawn from the Cochrane Library, but readers can still access previous versions in the 'Other versions' tab.
