CORRIGENDUM FOR “Low-Dose Dihydrotestosterone Drives Metabolic Dysfunction via Cytosolic and Nuclear Hepatic Androgen Receptor Mechanisms”

PMCID: PMC6532540  PMID: 29211901

In the above-named article by Andrisse S, Childress S, Ma Y, Billings K, Chen Y, Xue P, Steward A, Sonko ML, Wolfe A, Wu S (Endocrinology. 2017;158(3):531–544; doi: 10.1210/en.2016-1533) the authors report the following error in the published paper:

The sequence of the primer used for the CREB androgen response element (ARE) binding site in the chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assays in Figure 4I and Figure 5P should be as follows:

  • CREB1 CHIP Forward: ACTGGAGACTGCCTAGACTATT

  • CREB1 CHIP Reverse: GAACAAGGGTGTCATTGTGTTG

Additionally, the X-axis legend for Figure 4I and Figure 5P should state “Androgen Response Element” and not Promoter Region. The Foxo1 binding site is in the promoter region but the Creb1 binding site is not. Thus, “Androgen Response Element” is the correct statement for both binding sites. The corrected Figures 4I and 5P are included.
