Fluctuations in p53 Signaling Allow Escape from Cell-Cycle Arrest

In the process of publishing the original article, we accidentally included a previous version of the model as well as typos in equations and fitted parameters. All simulations and results in the manuscript were run with the correct (most recent) model. The previous file has been replaced with the correct model (Methods S1), and we have made edits to the STAR Methods to reflect this update: we set the p21 mRNA half-life to 1.75 h in our simulations, not 2 h as previously written; we solved for p21mRNA from Equation 5, not Equation 3; and Equations 6, 7, and 9 have been corrected as follows:

p21mRNA=1α2(dp21protdt+β2p21prot) (Equation 6)
f(p53)=dp21mRNAdt+β1p21mRNA (Equation 7)
f(p53)=α1p53K1+p53 (Equation 9)

In addition, we found a typo in Table S1 in parameter K1, which has been corrected in the supplemental file Document S1.

These errors do not affect the conclusions of the article, and the authors apologize for any confusion.
