In the article entitled “Targeted Deletion of Jun/AP-1 in Alveolar Epithelial Cells Causes Progressive Emphysema and Worsens Cigarette Smoke–Induced Lung Inflammation” (Volume 180, pages 562–574 of the February 2012 issue of The American Journal of Pathology; http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.ajpath.2011.10.029), Figure 1C mistakenly contained a panel labeled as Moderate COPD, which was really taken from a No COPD image. This error was brought to the attention of the authors via a concerned reader, and the authors then notified the editorial office and provided the original slides showing where the error occurred. This error was found to be accidental, and the corrected version of Figure 1C, with the appropriate panel for Moderate COPD included, is provided below. The original legend and conclusions of the manuscript were not affected by this error.
