In the editor column about the Progressions feature and the first article in the series highlighting the 1997 JNeurosci article on the fusiform face area by Marina R. Picciotto and Teresa Esch, which appeared on page 1055 of the February 1, 2017 issue, we neglected to acknowledge previous imaging findings of face recognition in human subjects and should have cited works by Sergent et al., 1992; Haxby et al., 1994; and Puce et al., 1996, which used neuroimaging to establish face-selectivity in the region of the right fusiform gyrus. Their full citations are provided below.
