According to an investigation conducted by the LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans (LSU HSCNO), Dr. Nirmala Tumarada, a former graduate student at LSU HSCNO, was omitted as an author in the above-cited article. The university concluded that Dr. Tumarada’s thesis for her Master of Science degree substantially contributed to the information in the published article and that Dr. Tumarada should have been listed as the first author on the manuscript.
