XVIth Congress of the Romanian Association of Plastic Surgeons, Bucharest, April 18-20, 2019
MBC President, Prof. Bishara Atiyeh, was invited by Prof. Dan Mircea Enescu, President of the Romanian Association of Plastic Surgeons and Vice President of the Romanian Academy of Medical Sciences, to participate in the XVIth Congress of the Association held in Bucharest on April 18-20, 2019.
An Important part of this Congress was dedicated to Burns Management. two round tables were organized, the first about “Severely Burned Patient Transport Protocols”, and the second about “Key Points in Approaching the Burned Patient During Intensive Care”, in addition to a session where various speakers discussed several aspects of burns pathology, management and rehabilitation.
Prof. Atiyeh was invited to make a keynote lecture about “Refugee Camps, Fire Disasters and Burn Injuries”. On the same occasion Prof. Atiyeh was granted Honorary Membership of the prestigious “Excellence in Aesthetic Surgery Club” by Prof. Toma Mugea, President of the Club and Past President of EASAPS, the European Association of Societies of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
